AI-Enhanced Apps For Marketing
These are some of the lightweight apps that I've created for my own work use. Unfortunately, these only exist as private apps (for now?), but they may provide valuable ideas you could steal.
If you have productivity ideas you'd like to build, I'd love to hear them. I might even be able to help you build them.
The first productivity app I made was my AI-powered news curator, which has its own dedicated page: Check out FeedSlasher.
A simplified explanation of what these apps do:
- SEO Pages Analysis - Immediately generates primary SEO topic, title/meta tags, and keywords for all webpages
- SEO Backlink Priorities - Creates a prioritized gameplan for getting backlinks from a set of domains
1. SEO: Pages Analysis
This tool analyzes the content of webpages, considers what in-market search traffic would be searching for, and creates:
- Instant generation of SEO title tags and meta descriptions for all pages
- Page-by-page SEO keyword/topic assessments
- A check on overall keyword coverage
The wild thing is... the results are really good. I give personal attention to page titles because those impact SEO rankings, but the AI creates some really good drafts. The meta descriptions, though...chef's kiss. They can be spot on.
Setup & Input
Output
The app quickly generates these for all pages:
URL | Primary SEO Topic | SEO Title Tag | Meta Description | Keywords |
---|---|---|---|---|
example.com | Enterprise Cybersecurity and Risk Management Software Solutions | Enterprise Cybersecurity & Compliance Platform | XYZ Systems Inc | Advanced cyber risk management solutions for government & enterprise. Secure cloud, identity, and network technologies with FedRAMP high authorization. | enterprise cybersecurity fedramp compliance cyber risk management government solutions nist framework +12 more |
example.com/page2 | Advanced Threat Detection and Response Solutions | Advanced Threat Detection & Response | XYZ Systems Inc | Real-time threat detection and automated response capabilities for enterprise networks. AI-powered security monitoring and incident response. | threat detection automated response security monitoring incident response ai security +10 more |
+99 other pages... | ..... | ...... | ....... | ....... |
The results are based on AI analysis of the content on the actual pages NOW. The AI is also told to craft the SEO tags for in-market audiences and what potential customers would search for.
How to use
There are other keyword ranking tools where you can say, "here are my keywords, how do we rank for them?" This tool is more helpful for planning. It says, "here are my pages, what do you think they're about?" Part of site planning is deciding which page will cover which SEO topic, and this let's me organize thoughts from that direction.
- If the client is paying for SEO work: I can use this to look for gaps in SEO topics, or to identify content misalignment.
- If a website client doesn't want to pay for SEO work, we can use this to create a quick draft of every page's SEO tags.
2. SEO: Backlink Priorities
This tool takes a list of domains and prioritizes them for link building efficiency and impact. I get:
- A prioritized list of websites to work on
- The type of website (directory, blog, etc.)
- A suggested link building strategy
- Other sortable domain attributes
The priority ranking is based on a formula that includes:
- Topical relevance to my website
- Domain authority
- Difficulty to get a link
- How many competitors also get links from this domain
- A custom modifier (minor impact)
That custom modifier can be anything I want. A common example would be to prioritize "easy to get" backlinks if SEO time is limited.
Where Do I Get My Domains List?
I can put any domains into the tool that I want. BUT what I typically do is use SEMRush to generate a report of domains that my top competitors get links from. I filter out the ones with very low domain authority. I leverage their work as my shortcut.
Setup & Input
Output
The AI engine is already familiar with the domains and quickly generates a comprehensive domain research report:
Domain | Priority Score | DA | Difficulty | Relevance | Domain Type | Link Building Strategy |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
projectmanagement.com | 92 | 78 | Medium | 9/10 | Directory | Submit company profile and portfolio |
remotework.blog | 87 | 65 | Easy | 10/10 | Blog | Collaborate on remote management content |
+ 899 more domains | ... | ... | ... | ... | ... | ... |
The priority score is the magic here.
Use this data to focus outreach efforts on the highest impact opportunities.
